Cross Training

The minimum research-specific training required to obtain a doctoral degree consists of 20 European credits divided in the following way:

This training, with the exception of Publications and Conferences, must be completed before presenting the Report of Advancement of the Doctoral Thesis at the end of the fourth semester. The Research and Doctoral Commission may examine, at the request of the doctoral candidate, the possibility of completing some of these trainings during the fifth semester of the doctoral programme, provided that there is a justified reason.

In addition to the minimum research-specific training, candidates will obtain 40 additional European credits with the completion, under supervision of a mentor, of the Research Project Report (20 credits), which will complement the defence of the Research Project, and with the completion, under supervision of a mentor, of the Report of Advancement of the Doctoral Thesis (20 credits), which will complement the defence of the Report of Advancement of the Doctoral Thesis.
