UdA students will be able to study Tourism in Foix

The Rector of the University of Andorra (UdA), Juli Minoves, and the President of the University of Toulouse Jean Jaurès (UT2J), Emmanuelle Garnier, have signed an inter-university cooperation agreement through which a scientific cooperation programme will be implemented in the fields of education sciences, computer engineering and tourism, covering both teaching and research. The agreement was signed on Tuesday, 2 December, at the UdA Assembly Hall, during an official visit by President Garnier.

The agreement provides for student exchanges at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels, joint supervision of doctoral theses, exchange of academic and research staff with the aim of carrying out joint scientific research, participation in conferences and the joint production of publications, the ongoing exchange of scientific activities — including scientific and technical documentation — and the development of joint study programmes.

The first practical application of the agreement will allow students enrolled in the Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at the UdA to complete a specialisation semester within the Bachelor’s degree in Tourism and Development at the Robert Naudi University Centre of Ariège (Centre Universitaire de l’Ariège Robert Naudi), a campus of the University of Toulouse Jean Jaurès located in Foix, less than two hours from Andorra. The campus offers high-quality accommodation and facilities and already hosts numerous international students from several continents. This academic opportunity will be available from the 2026–2027 academic year onwards.

During the press conference held after the signing ceremony, both Rectors highlighted the excellent climate of cooperation between the two institutions. The agreement also allows for the cooperation to be extended to additional fields in the future through addenda.

Students participating in international mobility programmes will remain enrolled at their home institution and will only be required to pay the corresponding costs there. As a result, they will be exempt from enrolment and tuition fees at the host university, where they will enjoy the same access rights to services as local students. In addition, participating students may benefit from a mobility grant from the UdA.
