Once the Research Project is approved and the candidate has passed the checkpoints of the first two semesters, the Research and Doctoral Commission will issue final acceptance to the candidate and will assign them, based on the candidate’s proposal, a thesis director.

The thesis director will assume, from that moment on, the functions of the mentor and will be entrusted with guiding the doctoral candidate and completing follow-up of their work throughout the course of doctoral studies.
