The UdA expands options for mobility with Portugal, Cyprus, Iceland and Spain
The University of Andorra (UdA) has signed five new international mobility agreements with the universities of Nicosia (Cyprus), Akureyri (Iceland), Algarve and Porto (Portugal) and the Catholic University of Valencia (Spain). These new agreements expand the possibilities for UdA students to study abroad for a semester, in this case in Europe, while at the same time promoting the reception of international students in Andorra.
In the first two cases (Nicosia and Akureyri), the agreements were reached after these two universities joined the Network of Universities of Small Countries and Territories (NUSCT). This makes it possible, for the first time, to organise university exchanges with Cyprus and Iceland. For their part, the agreements with the two new universities in Portugal add to the possibilities of mobility already offered there by the University of Minho in Braga. Finally, the Catholic University of Valencia becomes the thirteenth university in Spain to establish an international mobility agreement with the UdA.
Each university permits annual exchanges by two students taking Business Administration and Education Sciences. The University of Akureyri, the University of the Algarve and the Catholic University of Valencia also accept nursing students, while the University of Nicosia, the University of the Algarve and the University of Porto also offer mobility to students of Computer Science. Moreover, some of the agreements established include the possibility of mobility stays for staff at both institutions involved.
These new agreements take the number signed by the UdA with universities around the world to 44. UdA students now have access to 277 mobility places, distributed as follows: 12 in Africa, 126 in America, 20 in Asia and 119 in Europe. Further information about these places is available here.
