Steps to follow to study a full degree

Steps an international student must follow when enrolling at the University of Andorra. Students should read the following sections carefully in order to know what documents to prepare in the home country and should contact the International Services Programme (international@uda.ad) before beginning the process.

Deadlines

To begin studies in September (autumn semester), the pre-enrolment period is from mid-March to the end of June or August (depending on the degree), and the student must formalise enrolment before the beginning of the semester in September (The student cannot formalise enrolment until they have obtained access to higher education).

To begin studies in February (spring semester), the pre-enrolment period is from November to the end of January, and the student must formalise enrolment before the beginning of the semester in February (The student cannot formalise enrolment until they have obtained access to higher education).

Before arriving in Andorra:

1- Chose the study programme you are interested in and consult the tuition fees for each degree, which are set by the Government of Andorra. More information

2- Request the the administrative identification number* (número d’identificació administrativa, NIA) at the Servei de Tràmits of the Government of Andorra. More information

3- Once you obtain the NIA, request the Certificate for access to higher education* at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education of the Government of Andorra. More information

(*Important: some of these procedures might require carrying them out in person or through a local administrative service)

Once you obtain a favourable response from the Ministry:

4- Fill out the Application form for international students.

5- Pre-enrol in the study programme of the University of Andorra using the online form.

6- Verify that you have all the necessary documents to enter the country. More information

Once in Andorra:

7- Enrol at the University of Andorra (check the required documentation).

8- Search for accommodation as soon as possible. The UdA is not a residential campus, but there are many different kinds of rental apartments in Andorra to choose from. It is possible to complete the following administrative procedure (residence permit) with temporary lodging (hotel). The International Programmes Service can assist students in finding accommodation.

9- Apply for a student residence permit, called an Immigration authorisation for studies, internships, top-level sports training or research, through the Andorran Immigration Service. More information
