SDG 13 – Climate action
Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts by regulating emissions and promoting developments in renewable energy
- The UdA has aproved, in May 2023, a Sustainable Mobility Plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in journeys made by the university community.
- The UdA has drawn up an Energy Action Plan which includes the energy saving and sustainability measures implemented during 2022 and other improvement proposals for the coming years.
- In the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 academic years, the University of Andorra organized an internal competition to reward actions that could best contribute to combating climate change. As a result of this initiative, measures proposed by both the winning projects and other proposals presented are now being implemented.
- University of Andorra also promotes recycling and reduction of the use of plastic, replacing plastic water bottles with water fountains, reusable bottles and recyclable cups. The UdA also promotes waste recycling and source separation throughout the entire university community.
